Dawn Gerardot has loved art her whole life, from reading about it and looking at it to experiencing it and teaching it. She earned a degree with a fine art major from Saint Francis College giving her the opportunity to teach at the junior high and high school levels for fourteen years. When she embarked on a new career away from teaching, her creative side went into hibernation. It wasn?t until many years later in 1995 that her interests were renewed. She enrolled in watercolor and colored pencil classes at a local university. These two areas of interest were the groundwork for her style today. She considers herself a mixed-media artist using anything and everything to create texture and line.
