About the Orchard

In the fall of 1983, a group of Fort Wayne artists decided to pool their resources to create a showroom and retail opportunity for locally made art. They started a cooperative gallery and called it The Orchard Gallery of Fine Art.

Being a cooperative, The Orchard Gallery of Fine Art is owned, managed and staffed by the membership. Every time you visit the gallery, you will be greeted by a real-life working artist who is ready to answer your questions and assist you with your purchases.

The Orchard represents nationally and internationally known artists as well as an artist that has work in the Smithsonian. And yet the prices are reasonable. Their work is varied and professional. You can get a framed, original work of art at a reasonable price, many times less than what you would pay for a framed copy of a print somewhere else.

Throughout the year, a portion of the gallery is dedicated to month-long featured exhibits, highlighting individual members' work. We also invite non-member artists to participate in our monthly exhibits and other specialty exhibits. We celebrate the holidays by having a Holiday Open House the first Saturday in December to show our appreciation to our loyal customers.
